Larry Birkhead to Auction Anna Nicole's Things
The late Anna Nicole Smith's baby daddy, photographer Larry Birkhead, thinks it's time to sell Smith's memorabilia, and he'll do just that on June 26 in Las Vegas.
"The auction came 'cause life was starting to look like a museum around the house," Birkhead told "Extra."
There are many of Smith's possessions going on the block, most notably, a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster and a collection of bronze statues, both given to Smith by her late husband, billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall, reports Reuters.
Also up for grabs is the home furniture from E!'s "The Anna Nicole Show," and her extensive collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. Anna's red carpet gowns and her own paintings are to be included as well.
"One of the dresses in the auction is from Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas," Birkhead said. "You guys were there and she talked with you guys ["Extra"] on the red carpet."
The primary beneficiary of the auction proceeds will be Smith and Birkhead's 3-year-old daughter, Dannielynn, who is the apple of her daddy's photographic eye.
How much of Anna Nicole do you see in her? "A ton," Birkhead gushes. "When she gets up, she makes that face. I'll say, 'Time to get up!' and she goes 'nah.' That's just like her mom. She wants to stay in bed and watch TV." He adds, "She's fearless, like her mom."
