Meg Ryan Talks Teaming Up with Tom Hanks for New Movie

America's sweethearts Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks have teamed up again!
This time with Tom as executive producer and Meg as director and actress in the new movie “Ithaca.”
“Extra's” AJ Calloway caught up with Meg, who admitted, “There was no day more exciting then when Tom came [to set]. They were all so thrilled.”
When AJ asked if Meg and Tom have any future projects in the works, she said “no plans” as of right now.
Ryan also praised her ex, John Mellencamp, who wrote the music for the WWII drama about a bike messenger delivering hope and heartbreak in small town America. “He did a beautiful, beautiful job,” she said of John.
Another special man in her life also participated in the film – her son Jack with ex-husband Dennis Quaid, who has a small role. She called the 24-year-old a "pro," praising his recent work with Martin Scorsese and Steven Soderbergh.
“Ithaca” opens in theaters on Sept. 9.
