'Finding Dory' Makes a Huge Splash at the Box Office: $136.2M
"Finding Dory," the hotly anticipated sequel to "Finding Nemo," shattered the box-office record for a domestic opening by an animated film, soaking in $136.2 million this weekend.
The Hollywood Reporter notes it was a long time coming, some 13 years after the first installment became an instant classic.
"Finding Dory" is now the only animated film on the list of Top 20 openings of all time, coming in at #18.
