Shawn Mendes Reveals What He Texted Hailey Baldwin After Her Engagement News

Singer Shawn Mendes just spilled on what he texted Hailey Baldwin after learning she was engaged to Justin Bieber.
While chatting with Dave Thornton on today's episode of “The Project,” he was asked which Justin he likes better: Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau or Bieber.
The Canadian crooner answered, "I think I have to say Trudeau, but I love them both. I love Bieber though, he was a massive influence for me."
Thornton called Shawn "very diplomatic."
Mendes then explained he was happy for Hailey and Justin, saying, "I texted Hailey the other day, I said congratulations – that's what it is. I think everybody wants there to be more.”
Shawn and Hailey have always claimed to be just friends, but had everyone talking when they walked the red carpet together at the 2018 Met Gala.
