Why Mark Salling’s Child Pornography Trial Is Being Delayed

On Monday, former “Glee” actor Mark Salling got his wish from a judge to have his child pornography trial delayed.
The trial was originally planned for July 12, but it will be delayed while Salling finds a new attorney to represent him, according to People magazine. A hearing, during which new trial dates will be scheduled, has been set for September 19.
Back in May, Salling, 33, was indicted for receiving and possessing child pornography found on his laptop, hard drive, and USB drives. He pled not guilty and has been released on a $150,000 bond, but is required to a wear a monitoring device on his ankle.
If Salling is found guilty, he faces up to 40 years in prison.
