Jana Kramer is an American actress and an ACM Award-winning country music singer. Known for her role as Alex Dupre on the television series “One Tree Hill," she made her acting debut in the independent horror film “Dead/Undead.” The following year, Kramer appeared on “All My Children,” which marked her television debut.
Kramer has since continued to appear on a number of television shows, including “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Grey's Anatomy,” “Private Practice,” “CSI: NY,” and has made recurring roles on NBC’s “Friday Night Lights,” The CW’s “90210,” and HBO’s “Entourage.” Kramer went on to pursue a film career, landing roles in “Click” and “Prom Night.”
She then went on to star in “Country Crush” and 20th Century Fox’s feature “Heart of the Country.” Most recently, Kramer can be seen in Hallmark Channel's “Love at First Bark” and Lifetime’s “Christmas in Mississippi.”
Kramer released her self-titled debut album in 2012, followed by “Thirty One” in 2015. Seven of her singles charted on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, including the Top 10 platinum-selling hits "Why Ya Wanna" and "I Got the Boy." Kramer was nominated for an ACM Award for Best Female Vocalist of the Year and won New Female Vocalist of the Year in 2016.
In May 2019, Kramer and her husband Mike Caussin launched an award-winning podcast with iHeartRadio called "Whine Down with Jana and Mike," on which they share advice and chat about everything from motherhood to relationships and beyond.
The couple resides in Nashville with their two children, Jolie and Jace.
