‘Fast and Furious’ Franchise Reportedly Coming to an End
It looks like it is the end of the road for “Fast and Furious.”
The fan-favorite franchise will conclude after the 10th and 11th films, reports Variety.
According to the trade magazine, Justin Lin is on deck to direct. He was behind the camera on the third through sixth films, as well as “F9.”
In fact, “F9” is the next “Fast and Furious” film to hit theaters. It was originally slated for 2020 but got pushed back to Memorial Day Weekend 2021.
While Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto and family may be wrapping things up, there are already spin-off movies in the works at Universal, similar to the 2019 film “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
The original “The Fast and the Furious” film debuted in 2001 starring Vin, the late Paul Walker, and other regulars like Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.
