Funny man Kevin Hart has a new Netflix special, but at home he's just "Dad."
“Extra’s” Tanika Ray caught up with Hart, getting all the latest on his family. “I'm on cloud nine," he said. "The kids are getting bigger. The thing you realize is that time does not stop, they just continue to grow. The more they grow up, you just realize they are people. I am falling in love with the little people that I am around.”
Kevin is the father of Heaven, 14, and Hendrix, 11, from a previous marriage, and Kenzo, with wife Eniko Parrish. Tanika asked who the boss is, and the 39-year-old replied, “I would love to say I am, but I'm not… Baby ‘Zo runs the household. We call him Jack Jack baby from ‘The Incredibles’… Jack Jack do what he want… I think we all do a good job of understanding he runs the house.”
Kevin shared Kenzo’s first words, saying, “He's heavy 'Daddy,' 'Mommy'… For food, he's, 'Mmm’... which is very funny to me. He also is ‘uhhhh’ when he gets mad… He is good with movements and associating the movements with certain things. He knows hands-up, hands-down, he knows clapping, he knows bye-bye, stomp your feet.”
Hart also opened up about Eniko, saying, “She knows and understands her husband wholeheartedly; she really, truly is in love with the man that I am and the man I've become.”
The comedian is keeping it real and raw in his new special, “Irresponsible.” He said, “I just think overall, with stand-up comedy, you want to continue to be honest.” He added, “As you get older, your life changes… The man that I once was, I'm not now, that crazy-fun, all-over-the-place guy, you really do just become a dad.”
He revealed, “All stand-up is for me, that’s my therapy.”
“Irresponsible” is available now on Netflix.
