On Tuesday, Kotb revealed that she has adopted another child, a baby girl named Hope Catherine.
When her colleague Jenna Bush Hager asked about how life is going with two kids, Hoda shared during a telephone call, “Oh, my gosh, you guys. She is laying on the Boppy pillow right now, I'm feeding her and I can't believe it. Look — in life you think maybe you've gotten what you deserve, but, man, I'm so happy she is here."
The 54-year-old also revealed that she and boyfriend Joel Schiffman were there when Hope was born. She said, “Joel and I were standing there when they hand you the baby. And it's the closest thing to a live birth I think you'll ever see. In that moment... my heart just grew 10 times. It's amazing.”
The show also shared a precious photo of Kotb with her two daughters on their Instagram with the caption, “Congratulations are in order for @hodakotb, who adopted a second little girl, Hope Catherine, this week.”
Last year, Kotb didn't rule out adopting again, telling "Extra's" Tanika Ray, "I would say, 'Never say never.'” Watch!
Two years ago, Hoda opened up about her decision to adopt daughter Haley, telling People, “I wake up sometimes and go, 'Oh, my God, I have a baby!' But it feels totally real. I guess if you've been waiting this long for something, and you wish for it, pray for it, hope for it, wonder if it will ever be, and then it happens, nothing's more real. Nothing.”
