Molly Ringwald on Brat Pack Connection to New Movie, and ‘Breakfast Club’ Co-Star She Texts with for Hours

Molly Ringwald was the teen queen of the '80s, and now a whole new generation loves her as Archie's mom on “Riverdale.”

“Extra's” AJ Calloway caught up with the star at our studio at Levi's Times Square to talk about her new movie “All These Small Moments,” and the film's connection to her Brat Pack past. She also revealed the “Breakfast Club” co-star she texts with for hours.

Molly plays Carla, a mother of two boys who is the middle of a disintegrating marriage. The younger of the two boys is played by the son of a fellow member Brat Pack member!

“Sam McCarthy plays my younger son, and Sam McCarthy's dad is Andrew McCarthy, so everything comes full circle,” she told us.

Molly said she's still friends with some of the other Brat Packers, revealing, “I'm really good friends with Ally Sheedy… we'll, like, text for hours.”

She also just beat Jon Cryer on “Drop the Mic,” and said, “That statue that was coming home with me!”
