Singer Barry Manilow has been forced to cancel the opening shows of his new residency at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
Manilow has been hospitalized with a bronchial infection. The 74-year-old said in a statement to People magazine, “I can't believe this is happening. Our new show is ready, we're all ready, and we were all looking forward to tonight.”
He is expected to make a speedy recovery and will most likely be released from the hospital in a few days.
Those who had tickets to his show this weekend will get a full refund.
Last month, Barry sat down with “Extra's” Renee Bargh at Universal Studios Hollywood, where he spread the word on his residency. Watch!
