Donald Trump Jr.’s marriage with Vanessa appears to be over, but did cheating have anything to do with it?
Us Weekly reports that Donald cheated on Vanessa with singer Aubrey O’Day, who he met on the fifth season of “The Apprentice” in 2011. A source shared, “Things started up with Aubrey and Don Jr. toward the end of the taping.”
A pal of O’Day claimed, “When it started, they were very serious all of a sudden. He told her it was over with his wife, that they were separated and he didn’t love her — all of that stuff… Aubrey fell for him hard. She thought they were going to be together for real.”
Another friend of Aubrey added, “He called her all the time and really cared about her. He was giving her a lot of advice on her career. She’s actually a bright girl, way smarter than people realize.”
Along with “spending a lot of time together,” a source close to production argued, “The way he positioned it to Aubrey was that he and Vanessa were already on the outs.”
The affair supposedly lasted a few months after Vanessa reportedly found emails between Donald and Aubrey.
Page Six reports that Donald Trump told his son to end the relationship with the Danity Kane singer, who was discovered on Diddy's MTV show "Making the Band."
In 2013, Aubrey released a song called “DJT,” which is about an affair, where the man returns to his former life. Many are also speculating that that the song also stands for Donald John Trump.
Aubrey also referenced the alleged affair in a remix for Gotye's song “Somebody That I Used to Know." The remix featured her singing the lyrics “You told me that your marriage was a lie... But you were scared to ruin your family’s name / Your wife’s the only one glad we are over.”
Last year, Aubrey appeared to hint at the affair in a now-deleted tweet, saying, "my story I didn’t tell is worth millions now 😉."
At the time of the alleged affair, Vanessa and Donald had three kids. They would later welcome two more children before calling it quits after 12 years of marriage.
Vanessa and Don have yet to respond to these new reports. After news broke about their split, they released a joint statement, saying, "After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways. We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”
Aubrey has not publicly commented on the new reports.
