On Monday, Kylie Minogue won her legal fight to prevent Kylie Jenner from trademarking the name they share.
According to Global News, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rejected Jenner’s request to trademark the word “Kylie” for her clothing and beauty lines, but the 19-year-old is already looking into an appeal.
Back in 2014, Jenner filed the application. Two years later, Minogue’s legal team filed a notice to oppose Jenner’s trademark request. In court papers obtained by Page Six, Minogue’s team argued that Jenner’s trademark application would “dilute” her brand.
Minogue also pointed out that she’s owned Kylie.com since 1996 and has used the “Kylie” trademark for entertainment and music.
