'Moana' Makes a Holiday Box-Office Splash
Deadline reports Disney's "Moana," raking in a projected $81 million over the five-day weekend, is a lock for the second-biggest Thanksgiving opening of all time, chilling right behind 2013's "Frozen" ($93.6 million).
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" continues to make box-office magic, conjuring up another $66 million, adding up to more than $150 million earned in just 10 days.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt's marital woes have not been a big plus for interest in his WWII drama "Allied," while Warren Beatty as reclusive billionaire Howard Hughes couldn't help "Rules Don't Apply" crack the Top 10.
The entire Top 10:
"Moana"
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"
"Doctor Strange"
"Allied"
"Arrival"
"Trolls"
"Almost Christmas"
"Bad Santa 2"
"Hacksaw Ridge"
- "The Edge of Seventeen"
