Prince William and Kate to Spend Christmas with Middleton Family
Pregnant Kate Middleton is bringing Prince William home for the holidays. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who are expecting their first baby in spring or summer, are breaking tradition and spending Christmas with Kate's family in Bucklebury.
The pair plan to enjoy the holidays “privately with the Middleton family” in her hometown, a St. James Palace spokesman told People. Queen Elizabeth was consulted and agreed.
According to Us Weekly, the Queen reportedly broke tradition too and invited Kate's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, to spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham Estate. They are reportedly the first non-royals to be invited to the Queen's Christmas.
Although it seems the Middletons will not be headed to Sandringham for the celebration, William and Kate plan to stop by over the holidays to visit with his family.
The royals will be missing Prince Harry this Christmas. The 28-year-old will be serving up a huge turkey dinner at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan, according to the Daily Mail. Following tradition, officers like Harry volunteer to treat junior troops to a holiday feast.
Not only is Harry far from home this Christmas, but he might be in danger too. The Mirror says that the Taliban is targeting the prince, who reportedly helped kill one of their leaders.
