Taylor Armstrong on 'Housewives,' Charity and Dating Rumors
"Beverly Hills" Housewife Taylor Armstrong survived a devastating year with her husband Russell Armstrong's suicide, abusive marriage and financial trouble.
Armstrong, who kept the spousal abuse, detailed in various appearances and publications, a secret is speaking out at The Grove with "Extra's" Maria Menounos about domestic violence.
The reality star said, "It's embarrassing to have to admit that I didn't have the strength to get out, but thankfully through all my friends and my support group, I was finally able to leave, obviously, and now I feel as though it's my mission and my goal to go out and help other women."
Taylor opened up about her 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy, revealing, "She saw a lot of things and that was the reason I left. It's my job to break the cycle. I was a child who experienced domestic violence in my home, and then to allow that to happen to my daughter... I'm terribly ashamed of that."
Armstrong, 40, is rumored to be dating reality TV star Matt Nordgren. Taylor set the record straight, saying, "No, no, no... that's just a rumor." She added, "Someday if someone comes along who is a good guy, then I'll consider it."
In the meantime, Armstrong is hosting a fashion show for "California Dreaming: A Fashion Celebration for a Cause," benefiting Fashion Business Inc. For more information, visit FashionBizInc.org.
