Listen! Golden Voiced Homeless Man to NFL Radio
Ted Williams, a homeless man from Columbus, Ohio, has become a YouTube sensation overnight -- and may have landed a radio gig as a result.
A video was filmed next to a Columbus freeway showing Williams asking for money with a handwritten sign, and he was profiled by the Columbus Dispatch newspaper. After discovering Williams had a voice perfect for radio and voiceover work, NFL films contacted the newspaper to find out about hiring him. The Cleveland Cavaliers are also reportedly looking to hire the man with the golden voice.
Listen to Williams, who says in the video that he once had a career in radio, but lost everything due to drugs and alcohol. The Brooklyn native says he is currently two years sober.
