Report: Scarlett Johansson Initiated Split with Ryan Reynolds
It was a bit of a shocker on Tuesday when Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson they announced they we're ending their marriage of just two years -- and according to Us Weekly, it was Johansson who wanted out.
"She's been unhappy for a while," a source told the magazine. The couple reportedly spent Thanksgiving together, but due to their busy schedules were forced to spend most of their time apart.
They released a joint statement yesterday confirming the split. "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
Johansson, 26, was spotted in Jamaica Wednesday, still wearing her wedding ring, and spending time with friends. Ryan, 34, has been reaching out to an ex for the past few months, according an Us Weekly source, but the insider insists, "He is seeking comfort, but not in a romantic or sexual way."
