Michael Che and Colin Jost will be bringing the laughs at the 2018 Emmys!
Variety reports the “Saturday Night Live” cast members will host television’s biggest night, while their boss, Lorne Michaels, will executive-produce.
Che and Jost are co-head writers on “SNL” and co-anchors on “Weekend Update.” This is their first time hosting the award show. Meanwhile, this is Michaels' first time executive-producing the telecast since 1988, when John Forsythe hosted.
Robert Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC Entertainment, told Variety that with Michael and Colin in the "driver’s seat" it is sure to be “one of the funniest awards shows in a long time.” He also teased “surprise appearances” by other “SNL” cast members.
The 70th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will take place September 17 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC.
