How Paul Walker's Daughter Meadow Is Coping with Dad's Death
Paul Walker died on Saturday in a horrific car crash, leaving behind a 15-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker. Now the teen is leaning on family for support, including grandfather Paul Walker, Sr.
He told “Extra,” “She’s got a lot of good friends around her, and of course our family, which is quite large.”
The elder Walker added that when he saw her after the accident they "did a lot of hugging, a lot of hugging. She’s really broken up, [she took it] really hard."
Meadow grew up in Hawaii, but moved in with Paul in 2011. "Paul was so close to her," Walker, Sr. said. "He wanted to take a little hiatus so he could spend [more time with her]. He said, 'Dad, she’s 15, she’s going to be gone soon.’”
Meanwhile, Paul's team is quashing rumors that Meadow was with him at the Reach Out Worldwide charity event the day of the crash.
His reps said in a statement, "We want to clarify that Paul went to the event alone. Meadow was not at the charity event on Saturday and thankfully did not witness the accident. Any claims stating otherwise are inaccurate."
