Lindsay Lohan May Get a Helping Hand From Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson helped Britney Spears when she was in trouble a few years ago and now he might be offering a hand to Lindsay Lohan too.
The “Braveheart” actor told “Extra’s” Jerry Penacoli that he has reached out to LiLo in the past and “I may again.” When it comes to Lindsay’s recent run-in with the law, Mel said, “Well, we all know about that. It takes one to know one.
Hollywood starlets aren’t the only ones Gibson is looking out for. He and ex wife Robyn are also helping to raise money for Mending Kids International, an organization that brings life changing surgical care to children worldwide. “Despite the fact that we're separated we're both still in this,” he said of Robyn and the latest fundraiser, Four Kings and an Ace, sponsored by El Cartel Tequila.
Friends Jodie Foster and Robert Downey Jr. were singing Mel’s praises at the poker benefit. Foster gushed, “I love the guy, the good and the bad” while Downey said, “Seasons change. Highs and lows come and go. I just love the guy.”
The “Iron Man” star also revealed his plans for the holidays this year. “We're thinking about taking some little trips. All my hipster friends - they're going here, they're going there. They're going to Antigua, they're going to Hawaii. I think we missed the boat.”
He added, “You know that holiday pressure that you feel that you have got to do something cool? I'm just not as cool as I think I am.”
