‘Suicide Squad’ Top IMDb’s Top 10 Movies of 2016
According to IMDb — the world's most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content — “Suicide Squad” is the top movie of the year based on the page views of the more than 250 million monthly unique visitors to the site.
The Warner Bros. film brought in $745 million dollars at the worldwide box office, skyrocketing Margot Robbie, who played super villain Harley Quinn, to A-list success as she grabbed the #1 spot on IMDB's Top 10 Stars of the Year.
The DC Comics film is slated to receive a spin-off called “Gotham City Sirens” that will also feature Harley Quinn and other villains.
Coming in behind “Suicide Squad” were four more movies based on comic books: "Captain America: Civil War,” "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” "Deadpool” and "X-Men: Apocalypse."
