“Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek is sharing some heartbreaking news.
Trebek has been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. In a video, he said, “I’m going to fight this. I’m going to keep working and with the love and support of my family and friends and your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate.”
The famously funny host even joked, “Truth told, I have to because under the terms of my contract, I have to host ‘Jeopardy’ for three more years, so help me. Keep the faith and we’ll win.”
TMZ reports Trebek will try to finish the latest season of “Jeopardy.”
Last year, Alex took a break from the show after undergoing brain surgery.
The 78-year-old has been hosting “Jeopardy” since 1984.
