Last night, actress Jennifer Lawrence and ex-boyfriend Darren Aronofsky had a friendly reunion at the BAM Gala in NYC.
Lawrence was on hand to present Aronofsky with an award. She reportedly told the audience, “I’m thrilled to be here tonight to present this honor to my very good friend, Darren Aronofsky.”
Jennifer, 27, and Darren, 49, started dating after they worked together on his film “Mother!” In October, they went their separate ways after a year of dating.
At the time, a source told E! News, “It was amicable and they are still friends.”
Before the breakup, Jennifer opened up about their relationship to The Hollywood Reporter’s "Awards Chatter" podcast, saying, “I had a crush on him when he pitched to me, and that was a year before we started rehearsing. But he was a professional, which only made it worse for me. We just kind of formed a friendship. He knew how I felt; he never told me how he felt. I mean, I assumed. And then friendship turned into a partnership once we started working. And when the movie ['Mother!'] was done, I was like, 'All right, you're my boyfriend.'"
