Russell Wilson is more than a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, the Seattle Seahawk is also a husband, dad, mentor, and host of this weekend’s Kids’ Choice Sports Awards! “Extra’s” Renee Bargh was with Wilson this week to talk about his very busy life.

The 28-year-old and wife Ciara are fresh off celebrating their one-year anniversary with a family getaway to Mexico. Ciara surprised Russell by having a plane fly-by with the message, “Happy 1 Year Baby! Yay! I [heart] U!”

Wilson told Renee, “We had a good time and enjoyed ourselves, she had a good little surprise for me. That was so sweet of her.”

Wilson said the couple’s baby, 2-month-old Sienna, is doing well. “It’s been a blessing. Obviously, every day is a new day… You just try to be grateful every day.” He said he is on daddy duty even when it comes to diapers. “Of course, yeah, I don’t mind getting my hands dirty.”

Russell is also teaching kids how to play football all over the world, including China, with his Russell Wilson Pass Academy and Russell Wilson Quarterback Academy. “Even if you’re in Florida, New York, or China, or wherever you are, you can get lessons… Follow me and go to my website TraceMe.com and see my whole entire crazy week.”

His crazy week includes hosting the Kids’ Choice Sports Awards for the third time. Russell said little Future will be there watching the show. “We have some amazing surprises. First of all, Michael Phelps is [the recipient of our] Legend Award. I got to slime Kobe Bryant, been able to slime Derek Jeter, now we got Michael Phelps. I think he’ll be used to it, though — he’ll be swimming in it.”
