Mama June hit the Big Apple this week after her big reveal on “Mama June: From Not to Hot.”
The reality star’s 300-lb. weight loss was on full display as she made her way to an appearance on “Good Morning America.” June wore jeans, a lavender top and beige jacket as she walked with daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson in tow.
June, who once weighed 460 pounds, also spoke to People magazine about her jaw-dropping transformation, insisting she will “never go back” to being overweight.
After adopting a healthier lifestyle, she said, “I can promise you I’m never going back to that size. I’m happy where I’m at.”
The 37-year-old hopes her youngest daughters Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 17, and Honey Boo Boo, 11, will follow in her footsteps.
“I do worry about their health, but I’m not going to say, ‘You got to eat salads all the time,’” Shannon explained. “I’ve seen Pumpkin and Alana lose and gain weight, but I don’t want them to end up like I did at 460 lbs. Who would want that?”
She also admitted to possibly overeating after having gastric sleeve surgery.
“I’m not going to lie to you: I have thrown up, because you can’t overeat with the gastric sleeve,” she said. “That’s not a thing that I recommend to somebody. You realize what you can and can’t do, and when you do it that one time, you don’t do it again.”
Watch the finale of “Mama June: From Not to Hot” Friday at 9 p.m. ET on WE tv.
