Following her show-stopping performance of Queen's "The Show Must Go On" and that tear-filled acceptance speech at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards, iconic singer Céline Dion spoke candidly to "Extra's" Renee Bargh about her respect for Prince, and about the time she met him in Las Vegas.
Dion revealed that Prince once came to see her Las Vegas show, contemplating whether to do his own.
“He asked me, 'How is it to perform in Las Vegas, and how is it really, because I’m thinking maybe to come, but I really want to know," Dion said.
Céline said she loved spending time with the Purple One. The feeling must have been mutual — she said he even wrote a song for her.
"All that," she said, referring to her secret history with her fellow musical luminary and summing up her feelings about the Billboard Music Awards, "just added to the emotion of the night."
