After hearing from the mother of a transgender teen who committed suicide, Caitlyn told her own mother and sister:
"That's the problem that we have here is that it happens all the time. Suicide is a permanent solution for a very temporary problem. And most of the ones that are at risk are these young kids. Have their whole life ahead of them. It just doesn't need to happen."
She went on to explicitly describe her own past thoughts of suicide:
"I know how these kids can feel. I've had some very dark moments in my life. I have been in my house, with a gun and said, ‘Let's just end it right here. No more pain. No more suffering ... That struggle, it's real, and I've been there."
"I Am Cait" debuted on E! after months of speculation. Reviews have been positive, including People magazine rounding up 7 must-see moments from the series.
