Sister Act! Nun Wows on Italy's 'The Voice'
A real-life “Sister Act” took the stage on Italy's “The Voice” this week! A nun, Cristina Scuccia, wowed the coaches during blind auditions with a rendition of Alicia Keys' “No One.”
All four mentors turned around for the singer, their jaws dropping one by one at the sight of a nun rocking out in a habit!
Backstage, Scuccia's parents and fellow sisters were jumping and screaming in support of the 25-year-old singing nun.
She told coaches Raffaella Carra, J-Ax, Noemi and Piero Pelu, "Yes, I am truly, truly a sister. I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize.”
Scuccia, a member of the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family, chose J-Ax as her coach, explaining that her plan was to go with the first person to turn around in support.
He joked, "If I had found you at Mass I would always be in church. You and me are like the devil and holy water."
