Behind the Shocking Decision to Free Paris
Paris Hilton spent only three days in the slammer before being sent back to her posh Hollywood Hills home under house arrest.
Officials cited “medical reasons” for the pampered princess being sent home early, but “Extra” may have solved the medical mystery!
Sources tell us that late last night, Paris went into a panic.
She suddenly had shortness of breath and convinced herself that she was having a heart attack.
While David Letterman had his own analysis, saying, “She's suffering from insomnia because she's not used to sleeping in the same bed every night,” the real diagnosis seems to be something mental.
So all it takes is a nervous breakdown to bust your way out of a 12-by-8 cell and into a multimillion dollar home!
This is sparking some major outrage, with cries of “star treatment” being heard everywhere.
Tough-talking TV Judge Marilyn Milian of “The People's Court,” fumed, “The way this has been handled is outrageous.”
Rev. Al Sharpton is just as flabbergasted by the decision to move Paris home, saying, “This early release gives all the appearances of economic and racial favoritism that is constantly cited by poor people and people of color.”
Paris' pal Nicole Richie might not be so lucky when it comes to getting out of jail.
She told David Letterman she may very well be heading to the Big House, adding, “I'm willing to face whatever consequences come my way.”
She's due in court this week to face DUI charges.
