Rod Stewart Talks Elton John Friendship

“Extra’s” Billy Bush spoke with legendary singer Rod Stewart as he promoted his album “The Tears of Hercules,” which was inspired by his “couple of breakdowns in lockdown.”

Of his new album, Stewart emphasized, “That’s what it means: grown men should be able to cry if they wish.”

Rod also opened up about his friendship with his “old mate” Elton John, who he doesn’t speak to much anymore. The 76-year-old shared, “I miss him. He just had a hip operation, so I do wish him well. We still love each other.”

Along with joking that he communicates with Elton through the papers, Stewart shared a message for Elton, saying, “Love you baby. Just good luck and I’m so bloody annoyed that you have a number 1 album.”

Rod is keeping himself busy, extending his Las Vegas residency “Rod Stewart: The Hits” at Caesars Palace.
