Regina King Reacts to ‘One Night in Miami’ Oscar Buzz

“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst spoke with Regina King as she promoted her film “One Night in Miami.”

King directed the movie, which is a fictionalized meeting between Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown and Sam Cooke.

Regina, who could make history as the first Black woman to receive a Best Director Oscar nomination, said, “Right now, there are lot of female directors that are in that conversation with this cycle, and that’s exciting.”

Cheslie also chatted with Leslie Odom Jr., Kingsley Ben-Adir, Eli Goree and Aldis Hodge, who star in the movie.

“One Night in Miami” is streaming on Amazon Prime.
