Alicia Witt Dishes on Her New Hallmark Holiday Movie

It wouldn’t be the holiday season without a movie featuring actress and singer-songwriter Alicia Witt!

The star of numerous Hallmark Christmas films is back and kicking off the season with “Christmas Tree Lane,” premiering October 24 on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel.

The film was one of the first productions to return this summer during the COVID-19 lockdown. Alicia came up with the storyline and wrote two songs for the film, including “Why Christmas.”

Movie aside, Alicia has been super busy during the pandemic, working on a book, “Small Changes,” as well as performing frequent live shows via StageIt.

Alicia is also known for her work with David Lynch on “Twin Peaks,” “Twin Peaks: The Return,” and the original “Dune” when she was just 8 years old.

“Extra” Senior Music Correspondent Adam Weissler caught up with Alicia via Zoom to talk about life and work during quarantine, her music, and her thoughts about the “Dune” remake starring Timothée Chalamet. Watch!
