Looking Back at the Letter President George H.W. Bush Left at the White House for Bill Clinton

As news broke that President Trump would not attend Joe Biden’s inauguration, “Extra’s” Billy Bush was reminded of another transition of power back in 1993.

President George H.W. Bush had been defeated by Bill Clinton, and left the newly elected POTUS a letter in the top drawer of the White House’s Resolute Desk. He wrote “Your success is now our country’s success. I’m rooting hard for you.”
