Kane Brown Opens Up on His Stage Ankle Injury

“Extra’s” Rachel Lindsay chatted with country star Kane Brown about his upcoming CMA Awards performance, as well as his recent tumble onstage!

Of his “hurt” ankle, Brown said, “I was hoping it wasn't broken. Once I got backstage, I realized I could do the rest of the show. I did the rest of the show. I was crying every song.”

Brown admitted that it “sucked” that the injury happened during the first song of his concert. He noted, “I knew I had to get back out there and at least give half the show, but I finished it.”

Kane’s ankle is “almost healed” just in time for his CMA Awards performance with his friend Chris Stapleton. He shared, “I think I'm looking forward mostly to just performing with Chris and honestly I have no idea what to expect yet.”

Kane is confident that they’ll have “good chemistry,” explaining, “You'll be able to see there's friend chemistry there. It'll be fun.”

Kane also gushed over daughter Kingsley, who “loves music.” He quipped, “Anytime a song comes on, she's dancing, shaking her hips. She's 2 right now, so it's cute. When she gets older, I might have to tell her to stop.”

The CMA Awards air November 10 on ABC.
