Emmanuel Acho’s New Book for Young People Aims to ‘Dismantle Racial Ignorance’ Before It Starts

He’s known for his “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man” book, and now Emmanuel Acho has one for the younger set.

“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst spoke with the author, who just released “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Boy.”

He explained, “If we really want to address the roots of racism in our society, we have to address our youth. If we can dismantle racial ignorance and racial insensitivity before it matures into full-blown racism, then our society can thrive in a much more healthy and equal way.”

Acho also shared the “uncomfortable conversations” he plans to tackle next on his online show, and his reaction to the Derek Chauvin guilty verdict.
