Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray & Ernie Hudson Dish on Their ‘Ghostbusters’ Reunion

“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst spoke with Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson at Monday’s NYC premiere of “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” where they opened up on reuniting in the movie.

Dan, Bill and Ernie were in the original 1984 movie “Ghostbusters.” Dan commented, “We felt like we were being called back to service… It was exciting to be on set, lots of flashes… explosions, bangs, scares, weird vapors.”

“We are ready to serve again,” Dan added. “I think if we were called again, we would serve.”

What’s the secret to the longevity of the franchise? Ernie said, “It appeals to multiple generations… It deals with the thing that we all know: we have to cross over at some point.”

While Bill hasn’t seen the movie yet, he noted, “I hope the good guys win, but you don’t know.”

As for watching the movie with his co-stars, Bill quipped, “As long as they pass the popcorn, I’ll be okay.”
