Allison Janney on Making ‘Breaking News in Yuba County,’ Plus: Shooting Kissing Scenes During COVID-19

“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst caught up with Allison Janney to talk about her new movie “Breaking News in Yuba County.” The film stars Janney as a woman whose husband goes missing, while Mila Kunis and Juliette Lewis are the journalists investigating the story. Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes, and Awkwafina round out the star-studded cast.

Allison revealed what it was like making a movie with director Tate Taylor, including living with her castmates, sharing meals, and drinking wine.

The actress, who also stars in the show “Mom,” dished on what it has been like filming kissing scenes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Look for “Breaking News in Yuba County” on digital and in select theaters February 12.
