Adam DeVine Has a 'Weird' Story About Meeting ‘Jexi’ Co-Star Alexandra Shipp
“Extra’s” Billy Bush sat down with Adam DeVine and Alexandra Shipp as they promoted their film “Jexi.”
Adam also revealed how they met and why it got him in trouble with girlfriend Chloe Bridges. He said, “We met on set, actually. I have a weird story — do you remember this? The first night that we met, you were like, 'Let's grab a drink at the hotel bar.'”
Adam went on, “And we go down to the, the hotel bar and suddenly my girlfriend texted me and she goes, 'Are you on a date?' Some girl from across the way took a photo of me and Alex sitting at a table.”
Alexandra chimed in, “Little did they know that he's, like, telling me about his girlfriend and I'm, like, telling him about dating in 2019, which is terrible, and then someone's like, ‘Yo, your boyfriend's cheating on you.’”
“Jexi” hits theaters October 11.
