Why Antoine Fuqua & Denzel Washington Make a Winning Team
“Extra’s” Mark Wright sat down with director Antoine Fuqua at Universal Studios Hollywood, where he spread the word on his film “The Equalizer 2.”
Fuqua also directed the first film in the franchise, reuniting with star Denzel Washington for the sequel. Fuqua and Washington first worked together on “Training Day.”
As for why their partnerships work, Fuqua revealed, “Trust… I mean, I know he’s gonna do what he does. He’s amazing at it. He’s a great actor, and I’m gonna do what I do, and he trusts that.”
“The Equalizer 2” hits theaters July 20.
