Dr. Phil Approves of Michael Weatherly’s ‘Bull’ Character
There’s no bull about it, Michael Weatherly is knocking it out of the park with his new CBS show!
The “Bull” actor took “Extra’s” Mario Lopez behind the scenes of his show, based on the early days of Dr. Phil McGraw’s prolific consulting service. Dr. Phil gave his blessing on Weatherly playing him, saying, “Hey, Michael, thanks for making me look so handsome!”
Prior to filming, the two apparently discussed how the character should be portrayed. Weatherly joked to Phil, “You know that discussion we had about the mustache right before we started shooting and we decided to go with the scruff instead? And then talked about not having the southern accent? I think we made some really good calls.”
The actor is also making the doc into a smooth talker on the show.
