Wynonna Judd spoke to “Extra’s” Alecia Davis backstage at the 2023 CMA Awards after an emotional performance with Jelly Roll to open the show, which left some fans concerned. She explained that she felt like she was “on a roller coaster” and was having “a tough mama day,” referencing her late mother Naomi Judd. “Tonight was very heavy and sweet and wonderful,” she reflected, “and such is life.”
