‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Star Rachel Brosnahan on Midge Being Fired
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is back for Season 4!
“Extra” Special Correspondent George Hahn caught up with Rachel Brosnahan and Alex Borstein about their characters Midge and Susie’s lives after that Season 3 shocker, when they were fired.
Along with telling George to tune in to the new season, Rachel said, “This is a make-it-or-break-it moment for Midge and Susie after Season 3. They certainly feel like this is their only shot at redemption.”
“[Midge] has nothing to lose and everything to gain,” Rachel stressed about what viewers will see in the new season.
As for how Susie is going to fix things this season after gambling away all of Midge’s money, Alex said, “You know her words to Midge are, ‘It's going to be okay.’”
This season, Milo Ventimiglia is a guest star and might be playing Rachel’s love interest since his character was spotted with flowers. He told “Extra” last month, “I think it's pretty indicative. If a man is giving a woman some flowers on the, you know, on the park steps, probably there's some romance that's bound to happen or intending to happen.”
Alex was able to share some scenes with Jane Lynch, who she describes as “so funny.” She added, “I would love to work with her forever.”
Rachel also opened up about starring in a female-centric show, which brings attention to strong women. She commented, “It's been a dream and then some. It's spoiled me forever. Now, I’m going to expect the bar to be this high for every job from this point forward.”
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” Season 4 is streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
