Patricia Arquette’s Response to Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes Monologue
“Extra’s” Renee Bargh sat down with Patricia Arquette after her big win at the 2020 Golden Globes.
Patricia won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her work in “The Act.” She said, “This blows my mind… it’s just an incredible honor… I thought it was a super long shot.”
Arquette also dished on her favorite moments from the show and weighed in on Ricky Gervais’ opening monologue. She said, “I thought it was funny. He told people not to get political, but he was political, so I just said, ‘Forget it, we do what we want.’”
During her acceptance speech, Arquette brought attention to the growing tensions between Iran and the United States.
