Brian Cox’s ‘Succession’ Season 4 Update at SAG Awards
“Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers and Special Correspondent Adam Glassman spoke with Brian Cox at the 2022 SAG Awards Sunday. Cox said he was “over the moon” about the success of his HBO show “Succession.”
Before the show took home Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, he shared, “It’s a great show to work on, it’s a great bunch of people… It’s just a great cast, a great team, the DP, the whole thing… It’s just one of those shows — and the writers.”
Cox revealed that the writers are “back in the room” for Season 4, adding they are “planning our future and we’re not allowed to know what it is until we get there… then they’ll tell us and ‘uh-oh, this week you die,’ but I don’t think that’s gonna happen.”
When Jenn asked how his character’s “fractured” family will heal, he said, “Well, the children should just behave themselves, you know. [If] the children behave themselves, should be no problem… All he’s trying to do is find a successor… he wants to have his children together… These children are so avaricious and ambitious and entitled and downright selfish.”
Cox was nominated for his performance on the show, but the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award went to “Squid Game” star Lee Jung-jae.
