Ben Affleck & Matt Damon on Easy Decision to Team with Cillian Murphy (Exclusive)

Oscar winners Cillian Murphy, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon spoke to “Extra’s” Terri Seymour about “Small Things Like These,” their new film adaptation of the Claire Keegan novel. Ben and Matt financed the film through their company Artists Equity, and Matt, who worked with Cillian on “Oppenheimer,” explained why it was such an “embarrassingly easy” decision to underwrite the project. Ben emphasized how proud they are of the work Cillian and his producing partner Alan Moloney did, joking that because it turned out so well, they try to take credit. Cillian praised Ben and Matt as the “best partners” and shared why he wanted this story to be the first movie for his Big Things Films company. Plus, Cillian dished on filming the “Peaky Blinders” movie with new addition Barry Keoghan, and Matt and Ben talked about being in the middle of making “RIP” together. “Small Things Like These” is out November 8.
