Sheila E. Recalls Romantic Date with Late Ex-BF Prince, Plus: Details on His Grammy Tribute
Prince’s former girlfriend, collaborator, and close friend Sheila E. sat down with “Extra’s” Renee Bargh ahead of a special tribute to the pop icon airing tomorrow night on CBS.
Four years after Prince’s sudden death, the star is being honored with “Let’s Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince.”
The special was filmed before the COVID-19 lockdown, and features an unbelievable lineup of stars like Miguel, Usher, and H.E.R.
Sheila E. serves as musical director and used her band as backup to the other musicians on the show.
She shared a special memory with Renee, revealing, “He was very romantic. I said to him one day, ‘I want to go have lunch.’ And he took me to Paris for lunch!” What did she have? “Caviar and champagne, that’s all I wanted… right by the Eiffel Tower.”
