How Will Ferrell Convinced Pierce Brosnan to Play His Dad in ‘Eurovision’
“Extra’s” Charissa Thompson spoke with Will Ferrell as he promoted his new movie “Eurovision.”
When asked how he sold Pierce Brosnan on the role of his dad in the movie, Will said, “There’s always that moment when you’re casting a movie and you say, ‘Like a Pierce Brosnan type,’ and you usually don’t land the person you’re talking about — except in this case. When we’d written in the script, Lars’ father 'is the most handsome man in all of Iceland’… he agreed. We were jumping for joy.”
“Eurovision” premieres on Netflix June 26.
