‘Extra’ Vault: Our First Interview with Oprah Winfrey from Almost 25 Years Ago

In the summer of 1994, “Extra” met Oprah for the first time on the Chicago set of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
At the time, Oprah had just landed the cover of People magazine and Entertainment Weekly. She admitted, “For me, that was a really, really, really big deal.”
