The One Time Demi Lovato Was Too Starstruck to Speak
Demi Lovato’s latest album, “Confidence,” is nominated for a Grammy, and she shows plenty of confidence while on stage — but there is one person who makes her nervous!
While she candidly chatted with “Extra’s” Renee Bargh, the “Cool for the Summer” singer was anything but cool when meeting music icon Aretha Franklin.
She said of the experience, “I met Aretha Franklin one time and I was so starstruck.” She added, “I asked for her picture, and that was it, because I couldn’t say anything else.”
Demi said if she weren’t a singer, she would want to do advocacy work for things she believes in, like mental health, saying, “There’s a lot of stigma when it comes to discussing mental illness in America.”
The 24-year-old currently has her Be Vocal campaign, an initiative that encourages people across America to use their voice in support of mental health.
